We are now seeking a bright and motivated SUMMER INVESTMENT ANALYST. Working hand in hand with the management team and investment managers of CROWDBERRY, you as the right candidate shall become an integral part of our team for the summer period with the prospect of securing a full-time position after your graduation. You will participate in our market and company research, identify, acquire and execute new exciting investment opportunities in SMEs and REAL-ESTATE for our growing investors base. You shall also be responsible for a set of business analytics tasks, representing Crowdberry externally and drive the operational activities of the firm going forward.

Objectives

• Financial, business and market analysis of Small and Medium sized enterprises and Real-estate for new investment opportunities
• Active participation and deal team support in an investment process from kick-off through investment closing to investment management
• Support with general deal-flow and investment management, marketing and investment related activities
• Support the investment team with gathering, analysing and interpreting corporate, financial and market information
• Preparation and review of financial and operational models, valuation concepts and comparables
• Basic understanding and reading of financial statements and their implication on business models
• Providing recommendations for the selected companies coming out from research and competition analysis
• Reporting and monitoring of selected industries and mega-trends
• Advising companies looking to finance their visions and growth

Requirements

• Ongoing university degree studies (preferably abroad) with good results, ideally in corporate finance/banking/economics
• Some previous relevant experience /internship/ – ideally within investment, corporate finance, consultancy – is not a must but welcomed
• Market and financial data research skills with attention to details and appreciation of numbers
• Basic experience in reading and understanding financial statements, reports and presentations
• Sound writing and communications skills in both Czech/Slovak and English language (C1 level)
• Intellectual curiosity with a twist of creativity. Flexible, preferring new challenges over routine
• An entrepreneurial “can-do” attitude facilitated by continuous learning
• Self-starting, motivated, responsible and reliable, naturally curious and willing to learn
